Comprehensive Guide to Research Opportunities in East Asia
"Asia Science and Technology Portal (ASTP)" provides you with a comprehensive single access point to information on useful science and technology-related websites in ASEAN countries, as well as Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand and the Republic of Korea.
ASTP is designed to promote international research collaboration and researcher mobility among Asian countries by providing access to timely and relevant information in the region. Mobilizing STI capacity among Asian countries and enhancing researcher networking will help each country better cope with many challenges of sustainable economies in Asia. Building upon this vision, the Portal features a broad range of up-to-date and practical information including R&D funding, R&D related job vacancies, international meetings and relevant articles.
ASTP is a proposal by the Cabinet Office of the Government of Japan (CAO). In accordance with the planning by CAO, Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) is taking on the role of developing and maintaining the website. CAO is calling for active cooperation by each country in the region, which will be of vital importance to make this portal more informative and relevant.
